Marketing feat for top UK student
Rebecca Johnson, age
27, has been named top UK Marketing Student in 2004 having completed the Postgraduate Diploma in Marketing run by the Chartered
Institute of Marketing. More than 1800 postgraduates were awarded Diplomas this year and her achievement in gaining
the ‘best performance’ award was sponsored by the Worshipful Company of Marketors, the City livery company for
marketing. Rebecca attended MCL study centre in Farnham.
With an MA History degree
from Edinburgh University, Rebecca joined the Graduate programme at BT Consulting & Systems Integration in
1999 and went on to lead the market intelligence team. Having recently left BT, she has founded her own company, Client
Relationship Insights, producing high level analysis of company Boards, structures and issues.
Speaking at the Chartered
Institute of Marketing graduation ceremony held at the Barbican Centre she said: “I am absolutely thrilled and delighted
to have won this prestigious Marketors’ award. The skills and insights acquired from the CIM Diploma course, together
with running the market intelligence unit at BT Consulting & Systems Integration, greatly encouraged me to establish my
